This little part of town is growing rapidly every day. But it didn’t always use to be this way. In the summer of 2016, Marc was cruising around this sleepy neighborhood when something caught his eye - an old, neglected service station. There was something about that carcass of a building (truly just a shell of a former life) that brought a winkle to Marc’s eyes.
Get crazy with our savory Pimento cheese breakfast sandwich or have a second round of our sweet homemade lemonade. Because all of that trash will get composted to feed more plants which eventually will be turned into packaging all over again. That’s right. You’re eating is the gift that keeps on giving.
We opened as a small, neighborhood restaurant in Charlotte, NC, focused on offering fresh, house-made items. This included roasting our own coffee for our coffee bar, and for customers to purchase for home and work.
Love this place. Probably my favorite brunch at the moment. The atmosphere is perfect for coming in on Sunday to get your mind off of the upcoming Monday. The food is also incredible. I've thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've got here...
My wife and I ate dinner there on Saturday night and watched the NHL playoff game (Stars vs Tampa Bay). The special Saturday was shrimp and grits. And their version is sooo good! We had a brownie for dessert that is one of the absolute best I have ever tasted.
A great neighborhood spot with a great staff. I've eaten here several times for breakfast and lunch. I have never been disappointed. We order takeout several times during the start of Covid. Recently we ate in now that restrictions have eased up...
We moved into the neighborhood not so long ago and it was awesome to discover Toucan Louie's. Chimichurri steak sandwich was really good. My wife's turkey club was spot on too. Looking forward to going again. They have so many good things to try.
It's not too often I can say a meal was perfect. I ordered a BLT with cucumber salad and a lemonade. Ladies & Gents, it was an A+ meal!!!I am so excited to have found this cafe and will be back. Next time I plan to try a smoothie and salad. The lady up front was so sweet and welcoming. She added to the vibe!
